ANZAC Sunset Service

In the lead up to the 2017 ANZAC Day Commemorative Events, the Returned & Services League of Australia, Western Australia Branch Incorporated (RSLWA) will again be hosting a number of Sunset Services in Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

Sunset Services are conducted by the Flame of Remembrance and start at 5.00pm and run for 30 minutes. The Services are held over five evenings and will focus on a different theme each evening with the program including a wreath laying ceremony.

  • 20 April - 75th anniversary of Bomber Command
  • 21 April - 75th anniversary of the Battles of El Alamein & Kokoda
  • 22 April - 75th anniversary of HMAS Perth & USS Houston sinking
  • 23 April - 75th anniversary of Massacre of Vyner Brooke
  • 24 April - 100th anniversary of Battles of Bullecourt and Lagincourt & the 100th anniversary of the 3rd Battle of Passchendaele - Ypres

Parking will be available at the Wadjuk Carpark and along May Drive in Kings Park. You can find a good position at the Whispering Wall and there will be standing room around the Flame of Remembrance.
