The City offers free public WiFi around the CBD and Northbridge. The service allows users to connect to the internet for basic browsing, with a download limit of 50mbs per connection.
The network has been designed with a strategic focus on activating public spaces and targeting areas with population driven business that support tourism activities.
Covering a total area of approximately 50 hectares, what makes the network special is its blanket coverage – users can now walk from the Bell Tower to Northbridge Piazza without being disconnected.
There are other private companies offering hotspot based free WiFi in the city, however the City of Perth's free WiFi service gives people the freedom to explore the city while staying connected.
The City is working towards covering the majority of Perth’s city centre with the service.
